It is 10pm on April 20, 2018 and I am realizing the real lack of CONSISTENCY on this page. So before I celebrate another year of existence, I figure this would be a good time to finally upload all of the photos that I can't help but keep to myself in all their imperfect glory...

I have finally ventured into the world of color film on my little Olympus stylus. I have always preferred the monochrome to the color spectrum, but lately, I have been obsessing over the 70s and 80s and can't help but feel inspired by those vintage hues.
I have a few rolls of black and whites coming down the pike so look for those soon.

Typical me to leave this blog hanging. Life intervened. As today is 'Blue Monday', or the most depressing day of the year, I figured it would be a good time to turn it on its head and use it as motivation.
So here it goes. I am going to hold myself to continue shooting and exploring the world of photography. Below are shots from 2017 that I debated whether are not were worthy to upload, hence waited until now to do the deed. They come from a collection of 6 rolls of film over a period of a couple of months.

This is going to be a process of learning and accepting.
so far I have processed 12 rolls of film...
and have had good photos come out as intended and some that were rather unexpected.
The photos above came out as they did from the mess up that I had when going to rewind the finished roll of film. All things considered, I like these photos much better.
This is all to say that I am still learning and very much a beginner. I have decided to focus primarily on film photography because it seems much more personal than digital, and I feel that the surprise and delayed satisfaction of seeing how your photos have turned out makes the experience all the more gratifying.
I will be adding more photos from the rolls that I have shot in later blog posts, but for now, here are some other shots from the same surprise roll of lucky mistakes. Enjoy.
